Crimson Desert launches on PC simultaneously with consoles. PC is the lead platform. Pearl Abyss built the game on their in-house engine. They optimized it for PC first.

Performance Tips
- Install on an NVMe SSD. The game streams assets constantly. HDD causes stutter.
- Turn down shadows and volumetric fog first. They eat FPS the most.
- DLSS and FSR are supported. Use Quality mode for the best balance.
- VSync adds input lag. Use a frame cap instead if you have screen tearing.
Do not expect 60 FPS at 4K on anything below an RTX 4080. This game pushes the engine hard. 1440p is the sweet spot.
