Crimson Desert Controller Support — Best Settings
Updated 2026-06-03
Crimson Desert controller support is excellent across all platforms. The game natively supports PlayStation DualSense, Xbox Wireless Controller, and generic PC gamepads. On PS5, the DualSense adaptive triggers add tension when drawing a bow or blocking heavy attacks. PC players get full button remapping and steam input integration.
Controller features by platform
| Feature | PS5 | Xbox | PC (any controller) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Adaptive triggers | Yes | No | No |
| Haptic feedback | Yes (partial) | No | No |
| Button remapping | System-level | System-level | In-game |
| Gyro aiming | Yes | No | Via Steam Input |
Recommended bindings
Default bindings work fine, but a few tweaks improve combat flow. Map the dodge roll to R1/RB instead of circle/B — it shaves off reaction time. Put the item wheel on left bumper double-tap. Disable aim assist snap if you play on gyro; the snap fights your fine adjustments.
On PC, use Steam Input to enable gyro aiming on a DualSense controller. Set it to 'always on' for bow aiming and 'on right stick touch' for general play.
